This is a message to teachers of new and old,  who are about to embark on a new adventure in your school.

You have come so far and found your self here, ready to embark on a new school year.

Here at Elements we believe in preserving our own well being, so we can go out there and be the best version of ourselves. In order to accomplish this, we must first become more self-aware, self-loving and self-reflective. We know not every day will be a great day, personally or professional, there’s a learning opportunity around every corner.

Life is tough right now and is only set to become more difficult with rising energy bills, youth violence in the community and people feeling over whelmed and under supported.

In the face of this, we must not only focus on what we can control but more importantly, become resolute with our own standards.

Our children and young people deserve the very best we have to offer, but in order to be the best for others, we have to be the best for ourselves.

“We can’t pour from empty cups”

So we would like to wish each and every teacher in the land an optimistic school year, and we will leave you with 3 tips that will help guide you to a healthier well being.

  1. Always ask for help, because you can’t see the picture when you’re in the frame.
  1. Do something ordinary for you each and every day, love your self on purpose.
  1. Practice authenticity every day, only you can be you, so do it well.
